According to Bloomburg, the “console’s shift away from the Power PC architecture of the Xbox 360 to the new x86 platform” will make the next generation of Microsoft console incompatible with this generation of software.
But that’s hardly surprising tho, with the Playstaion 4 already announcing the same in its reveal conference back in February. But, they have gotten around this with the acquisition of the cloud streaming technology company Gaikai which may give them the option to make PS1 to PS Mobile games available to the PS4 without the need for extra hardware.
It has also been reported that its April reveal conference has been pushed back to May with also an E3 reveal also being considered.
